Governors Highway Safety Association

The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) is a non-profit membership organization of the state highway safety offices across the United States. We work each day on the front lines of road safety in the 50 states, U.S. territories, and the Indian Nations.

We draw on experience and research to implement safety programs and advocate for national policies and practices that improve traffic safety.

Our partnership with Let’s Talk Autonomous Driving represents one of the ways we are supporting further dialogue and discussion around how emerging technology can help drive our vision of eliminating traffic fatalities.

Together, we can help improve understanding of automated vehicle (AV) technologies so that the public better understands the differences between types of AV technologies, and what AV technology can and can’t do.
